Hello fire friends!

My interest in rx fire started in 2020 when I stumbled into the ( perhaps fateful ) opportunity to buy a house in East Plumas. It didn't take very long to become clear that the most efficient and effective way to manage everything is a) to burn it, and b) burn it where it is! I burn stuff whenever I can and as if my home and livelihood depend on it...because it does. :) Turns out it still takes a lot of pile burning to prep for a broadcast burn. Especially when the property seems to keep giving me more piles.

I've had the pleasure of working with CARX burn boss Richard w HFA since earlier this year on 2 "fronts":
* writing a burn plan for my property(ies) and several adjacent neighbors (anticipated total of ~15ish acres + 10 homes/structures) - hopefully burning in spring 2024, and
* working toward the CARX certification myself. 2 of 3 classes done, and opportunities to participate in a variety of burns across NorCal by different PBAs! Currently FFT2 (FFT1(t), FEMO (t))

I'm excited to keep learning and burning, normalize fire as the powerful and multi-use tool it is, and help get more good fire back on the ground!
